Cole Sydnor was born and raised in the suburbs of Richmond, VA. He sustained a spinal cord injury in 2011 at the age of 16, which rendered him a C5/6 quadriplegic. He went on to attend the University of Richmond, where he graduated with a Psychology Degree with a Concentration in Neuroscience. Before beginning creating content with Charisma, he founded a non-profit serving the disabled community in VA, as well as a real estate business devoted to providing more accessible housing.
Charisma Sydnor was born in The Bronx, NY, and was raised in the suburbs of Richmond, VA. She has known her whole life that she wants to help people, and so chose to study Exercise Science as a student at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is an alumni. Upon graduating, she worked at Sheltering Arms Physical Rehabilitation Center as a Rehab Technician, while pursuing her Occupational Therapy degree at Shenandoah University. With the success of her business with Cole, she shifted her focus towards raising awareness surrounding interbred and interracial relationships.
Since the start of their relationship they received many questions about how they make things work as an interracial and interabled couple. Despite their differences, they have a great time, all the time! They started their vlog to bring people into their lives and raise awareness about accessibility and dating in a wheelchair.
Their mission is to destigmatize disability and promote inclusive relationships. They aim to exemplify that life with a disability can be exciting and filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
